Sun 'n Surf Tom Maltby Single Fin 6'8 Collectors Surfboard
Hereās a piece of St. Augustine Florida surf history! Tom Maltby single fin collector board from Sun ān Surf Shop, St. Augustine Beach.
This board appears to be a survivor with no repairs! The board is very light, and it has a classic single fin shape with wider nose, tapered width and thickness, and a smoothed pintail with very thin, soft-edged tail rails. It has subtle light sparkle coloring on the foam under the glassing with custom airbrush artwork on top by Pat Madden which really shines in the sun. It features a large retro Sun ān Surf logo on the bottom. It comes with the original vintage 8ā fiberglass fin and cool leash eyelet thumbscrew!
The board is marked āEC 050681 - PTLā on the tail.
Dimensions are approximately 6ā8 x 21.25 x 2.5
The nose is in great shape and the tail good. There is a rail fracture on the right side with light discoloration on the bottom, but it looks to be a surface crack only. There are some expected pressure marks which you can see in the pictures, but they hide well under the lightly polished finish. Overall, this board is in very clean condition and looks great in person!
